I had used Palmtech software versions 3 through 8 previously. Report writer seems to lag at various operations - switching between categories/lines etc and especially when selecting a comment. I have to select the comment then wait. Sometimes the comment selects first try, sometimes it takes a second attempt however it still takes a few seconds to register. This adds up over the course of entering a whole report worth of date and would be the main reason that I could not recommend this software. Lots of good support and features are coming however it needs to operate faster (I am using a samsung note 10 plus a few years old however I don't experience this issue with any other apps etc)
Have mentioned the photo/image handling elsewhere however it warrants repeating - need to be able to take wide angle photos directly in the app - it is brutally painful to have to scroll/select/add pictures from the camera roll. The app camera 'angle' is approx 1.4x my 1x lens. I take majority of the interior photos using wide angle/.5x.
Please fix these issues asap if you want to have a competitive product.

The data entry seems much quicker - I do occasionally switch off sync when I notice lagging and that results in an immediate improvement.
Camera/fisheye continues to be an issue. Taking interior photos we want as wide an angle as possible for bathrooms/kitchens/mechanical rooms. One wider angle photo saves two or more regular photos to 'fit everything in'.
It is painful to have to take photos on camera roll then add to line/component. LIkely one of my main complaints/time challenges with the software.
I hope this is an area that can be improved.

For the slowness, I think it would be good for you to talk to someone on our support team about that. What you are describing is not something we have heard about before, so it might be a good idea to reach out to support to see if they can diagnose the issues with you.

- Specifically when choosing comments - we click on a comment tick box then there is a noticeable 2 or 3 second delay before the tick appears (or it doesn't get ticked and we have to re-select it) This slows the reporting down.
- The RW camera default seems to be 1.4x the native resolution of my samsung phone 1x view (and no .5/wide angle option). Either allow for zooming 'out' (vs in) or have a button to select .5x/1x.
Ideally it would default to a user setting or the most recent zoom setting selected. We take majority of our photos wide angle (and virtually all the interior photos).
