Formatting inconsistencies between Template Editor, Report Preview, Report View and Report PDF

Line spacing, indentation, fonts, attributes such as bold and italic, the appearance of ordered and unordered lists can very greatly between each viewing & editing method of Introductory Text and Information fields. For example, if a non-serif font like Arial used in Template Editor, bold text appears as a serif font (not sure what font) which looks nothing like the text next to it. Line breaks can be seemingly added or lost in different views.
This needs to be fixed so that we can present properly formatted, professional-looking reports to our customers.

Mchappell - Thank you for this feedback. We are working on a solution for this already. Some of it is because when you copy and paste from somewhere else, it brings over some weird font formatting. Some of it is because the rendering is different with the PDF viewer and the Interactive report. Would you be willing to send me an example? I would need the order id to look into it.

Hi Janaya - I created a testing template and a sample order just as a basic illustration of what I'm seeing. I did not do any formatting of the text outside of the Template Editor, I just typed it in Notepad then CTRL-C there and CTRL-V in the "Introductory Text" field on "Test category". As a second test, I copied your post above and pasted it into the "Information" field under the "Testing line". There is a lot of formatting in that pasted text, so I expect there to be problems. Lastly, I pasted a paragraph from this document: https://dos.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2024/05/homeinspectionprofessional.pdf into the "Information" field under the "Pasted from PDF" line.
Look at the formatting in the Template Editor, then in the Report Writer, then Report Preview, then finally in the PDF (select "PDF" from the menu in Report Preview). The formatting in Report Writer isn't terrible, it translated from the Template pretty well. The Report Preview and especially the PDF are the problems, and those are the ones our customers see.
The sample report is Order #: 77 - 121225MC2
Let me know how I can help....

Mchappell: Thank you! I will take a look and use it as an example.
