Google Calendar Syncing Frequency

After speaking with a representative, I have been told syncing only occurs every 6 hours. This time frame is too long. Multiple overlapping bookings can happen in 6 hours. I would like to see this syncing frequency be reduced to either near instantly or at least only a few minutes, not 6 whole hours.
