Numerous deficiencies

I am Lean Six Sigma certified and an efficiency expert. In the handful of inspections I've conducted using the ISN report writer, I have made several observations of defective product performance and inefficiencies. Here I compile a few of them:
- 6 clicks to delete a photo in a comment - I'm not joking, I counted them. When a comment is open either on the mobile app or the desktop app, and the user scrolls to the Media section, the user should be able to right click, 2 finger click, or otherwise select the photo for movement (drag and drop) or deletion. Every Windows or Mac application I've ever used has this feature. As it stands, I counted SIX clicks to delete a single photo from a comment.
- Imports photos in random order from photo library, then rearranges them as they are used. This is a HUGE inefficiency. When I take photos during an inspection, and then upload them to the report library later, I know exactly when I've taken them during the inspection, and I can select them for drag & drop into the comment with little trouble. But when they are randomly loaded (for example on my first inspection it loaded a couple bedroom photos, a couple bathroom photos, 1 electrical panel photo, and then more bedroom photos, all never used in the report until that moment), it was GRUELING to find the photos I needed. And the fact that used photos are immediately placed at the top is not a benefit.
- Takes 5 sec for every single click on boxes when writing report on desktop - when clicking on a descriptive feature on the desktop app while writing a report, if I have to click an appliance manufacturer, for example, it takes 5 seconds to process that change. Now multiply that by 100 and I have an additional 8 minutes of report writing time.
- Can only add one photo at a time from photo library on mobile app - This is like driving in Lemans race only you are carrying the car. The user should be able to select multiple photos at a time to import directly into a comment (e.g. if I am writing a comment about gutters after I've completed the exterior, I load media portion of the comment with 10 pictures I took at different locations during the inspection, and import them all at the same time).
- PDF fails to generate on reports - technical issue, but another one.
- Took 3 hours to write a 1.5 hour report last night due to these issues
- Loaded previous day's inspection data into next morning's inspection data - Tech support had to go back and manually remove all data from that report, WHILE I WAS CONDUCTING THE INSPECTION. So I had no access to upload photos on site because he was removing all of the previous day's inspection data, which means I couldn't use my ISN app while he was removing the improper data.
I hope this helps, and I strongly suggest ISN hires an efficiency expert to thoroughly evaluate every aspect of the reporting software.

Dfoster - I created a new feedback for your request for the predictive text. I am happy to repot that everything else in this feedback has been resolved now. If you are still experiencing issues, please reach out to our support team.

Dfoster - Just wanted to provide an update:
Thanks again for taking the time to share this incredibly detailed feedback.WWe’ve reviewed each point and are breaking them out so we can properly track and prioritize them. Here’s how we’re handling each one:
No predictive text or auto-capitalization in the mobile comment writer
We’ve heard similar requests before, and we’ll be adding your feedback to an existing ticket focused on improving the mobile text editor experience. We are actively working on adding in Spell Check capabilities.
Something to try in the meantime would be Enable Predictive Text and Auto-Correction in iOS Settings:
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard and make sure these options are turned on:
* Auto-Correction
* Predictive
* Check Spelling
* Smart Punctuation (optional)
These features are handled by iOS itself and can sometimes kick in even if the app's editor doesn’t fully support spell check.
6 clicks to delete a photo from a comment
We’ll be creating a new feature request for this. Making photo deletion faster and more intuitive is a clear opportunity for improvement, and your example helps reinforce that.
✅ Photos imported in random order from the photo library
This issue has already been addressed, and photos should now import in chronological order.
✅ Used photos appear at the top of the media library
This issue has already been addressed with the above work.
5-second delay when clicking descriptive features on desktop
We are actively working to improve the performance of the saving operation in the desktop report writer. Several improvements will be coming over the next few weeks.
Can only add one photo at a time from the mobile photo library into a comment
We’ll be creating a new feature request for multi-photo selection. This is something we’re hearing from other users as well.
✅ PDF fails to generate on reports
This issue has been resolved.
✅ Previous day's inspection data loaded into the next morning’s inspection
This issue has been resolved.
This feedback ticket will now be closed, but we’re either creating new tickets or adding your comments to existing ones so they’re properly tracked. You’ll receive updates as progress is made on each item.
Thanks again—your detailed notes help us build a better experience for everyone!

Dfoster - First of all, thank you for taking the time to provide all of this great feedback. I am the Product Manager for the report writer and I will be digging into these. I can tell you that bullet 3, 4, 6, and 8 are all actively being worked on.

Hiya Dfoster, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the specific steps you take when using the ISN report writer, particularly where you encounter inefficiencies?
- How frequently do you experience the issue of previous day's inspection data loading into the next morning's inspection data?
- Are there specific types of reports or inspections where these issues are more prevalent?

Janaya Fix - Product Management I've only completed 3 inspections, so I don't have the opportunity to observe a pattern. These occur on residential inspections, the only ones I have performed.
I experienced the issue of photo randomness when importing them into the report media gallery.
