Report Access Control for Employees

Problem
Currently, when the Reports feature is enabled in ISN, all reports become available to any user with access. This lack of control can lead to employees viewing sensitive or irrelevant reports that may not apply to their role. It also limits the ability of administrators to tailor access based on job responsibilities.
Example
For instance, a company may want inspectors to only access the Time Clock report, while restricting access to financial or business performance reports. Since there is no way to control this, all reports are visible once the feature is enabled, creating potential privacy and operational concerns.
Suggested Solution
Introduce a permission-based system within ISN that allows account administrators to specify which individual reports each user role or specific user can access. This could be managed similarly to existing user permissions, enabling more granular control over report visibility.

Assign Specific Business Report access and Company Log Access for certain Office Staff

I'm hoping to be able to allow access to only certain business reports to specific folks. For example, I don't want my schedulers to be able to see what the company's current gross revenue is but I would like them to be able to run new agent reports etc. They only need to see certain reports not all of them.

Granting access to a specific report in ISN

Issue: ISN lacks a tool to provide access to a specific report exclusively. The privilege called "Access to Business Reporting" grants access to the entire reporting system in ISN.
Example: Some companies need to grant access to their employees for specific reports to facilitate their activities within the company. However, financial report information should not be shared. Currently, in ISN, there is only one privilege that provides access to all company reports, including financial ones – sensitive company information.
Suggested Solution: Create a tool that allows granting access to certain reports within ISN, and ensure this option is available within the user's profile.

Hi sgabriel, would you want to be able to select/deselect access to every report or to categories of reports (financial, inspections, clients, agents etc)?

Lindsay G - ISN Product - Correct. It makes sense for the Administrator to be able to assign access to the appropriate reports, based on job responsibilities. Considering the number of comments on this topic and how long they've been suggesting the change, I'm unsure why this hasn't been more of a priority thus far. As the HR and Scheduling coordinator, I should be able to run a timesheet report without having access to all of the company financials. Inspectors should be able to run reports on their own inspection numbers without having access to timesheet reports and earning reports for everyone in the company.

I agree with this, my route specialists do not need to be able to see earning reports along with revenue reports.

Hello Cate, great feedback. Could you give me some examples of reports that would be "safe" to share with employees of your company? We can ask other customers for their input here as well.

The fact that someone who has access to reports has full access to the inspector earnings report is a real problem for us as we grow. Reporting really needs to have some sort of access levels, not an all or nothing situation.
