Switching the summary to top above report

It would be great if the option to change the report where the summary portion is before the report. Many realtors and clients prefer to have a summary page(s) prior to the full report. We are frequently asked to switch the summary to the top because it is a more convenient place to have it rather than at the end. Unfortunately we are unable to grant that request to the realtors and clients, however it does make sense to have it at the top, almost like an index page where they can see what is wrong and then go to that section directly.

Janaya Fix, I have discussed this with you in the past. Here's a reminder of some of the things that I believe would be helpful/impactful.
1)The summary is really the primary item that realtors and clients want. They want the quick and essential details.
2)The summary should be in sections according to "flagged" category, not location. They want to know what is high priority, health and safety, and potentially expensive to repair. The rest is really just for documentation (at least in WI, USA...).
3)The summary should also not be anywhere near as long the report itself. My current report can range from 30-50 pages (There is SOOOO MUCH wasted space!!! It seems like it should be 20-30 pages but the spacing is really unfortunate), and the summary is then 20-40 pages. The summary should be 75% less long. They can refer to the full report if they want pictures and other commentary.
Sorry for the rambling...keep up the good work!!!

I had a RE agent tell me the same thing. Like jgainey said: agents are used to what they are used to.. This agent said that her go-to inspector always sent separate PDF's for summary and full report. Idk about that but the summary should at least be at the top.

Hi, I must agree in that printing the PDF report out it must have the summary at the top of the report. Our agents expect this and have been for 30 years. Disapointing, it should be an option by selection.

Great to hear your perspective, MSchultz! I have a few more questions for you:
- How often do realtors and clients request the summary to be at the top of the report?
- Would having the summary at the top impact the way you or your clients use the report?
- Are there specific sections in the summary that are most important to have at the top?

- Every day we have realtors commenting and asking about it.
- Yes it would impact it as it gives a quick glance, it almost acts as a glossary to do a quick glance at things without having to scroll through numerous pages in a pdf format.
- Everything that is defective/a concern would be applicable. Many of the realtors look over the whole report but like to give the summary to the clients so they are not as overwhelmed, especially new home buyers.
