Request: an account-level setting to default "Send SMS events" to checked on new client profiles, and an SMS consent checkbox in the Online Scheduler.
Today that box is hardcoded off on every new client, and the Online Scheduler has no way to collect SMS consent or set the box. The result is that every client who books online arrives with texts disabled, every time, with nothing to alert the office. I lost the booking confirmation text and every subsequent text on a live order this week and did not find out until after the inspection was already scheduled. There is no way to catch it other than opening each client record by hand after the order comes in. Compounding it, there is no way to audit my own list. There is no SMS column on the client grid, no filter for it, and no bulk update, so I cannot see which of my clients have it enabled without opening every profile one at a time. Three things would fix this, in order of usefulness: A client-facing SMS consent checkbox in the Online Scheduler that sets "Send SMS events" and logs the opt-in with a date and source. This solves it properly and keeps the consent record where it belongs. An account-level default so offices that collect consent another way, such as in a signed inspection agreement, can turn it on. At minimum, an SMS column and filter on the client grid, plus a bulk update. Even without the above, let me see and fix my own data. I understand the consent reasoning behind the current default. The problem is not the default. The problem is that there is no supported way for a client to give consent through your own booking flow, and no way for me to see who has.

On Line Scheduler Flaw
Afternoon Diego, This is Mark King – I own King Home Inspections – won’t get in your and Katie’s business here too much – but what annoys me is – when a realtor or buyer schedules an inspection through the On Line Scheduler – that day/time and inspector is recorded in the ISN calendar – that’s great – but, if the inspection gets cancelled or moved to a different day and time – there is no way for the realtor / buyer to go back into the scheduler and erase the initial entry of the day / time / or inspector from the calendar – the only option they are given through ISN is “start over” – which doesn’t erase the day/time and inspector from the calendar – it still shows that day/time and inspector as taken - this leaves a HUGE opportunity for us to go a property for an inspection that no longer exists – and, if we are fortunate enough the realtor makes Katie aware the initial inspection has been moved – Katie now has to go into the calendar and manually make the changes and make the inspector available – it seem logical to me the software should have an option or function where the realtor / buyer can go back to the scheduler and “cancel’ the initial inspection and the software would erase it from the calendar – I hope this is clear – Katie and I have spoken about this so she will be able to fill in any questions you might have – The software has been awesome – Katie was the person who introduced us to the ISN software and it has helped us tremendously – but, what I consider a flaw has been an annoyance and clean up duty for Katie since we started using the software – Thanks for your time and I hope this helps 😊
